Our consortium is made out 6 youth-led organisations aiming to make an impact on their peers coming from 6 countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, Spain, Romania, Germany, and Italy. Each will host a training session in their country on a topic close to their heart:
1. Role of European Parliament (EP) and EU legislative process: Understanding the functions and powers of the EP in the legislative process of the European Union, including its role in shaping EU policies and laws.
2. Climate change and sustainability: Exploring the challenges posed by climate change, the importance of sustainability, and the EU's efforts to address these issues through initiatives like the Green Deal and sustainable development policies.
3. Media literacy and digital citizenship: Developing critical thinking skills and understanding the impact of media, including social media, on public opinion, democracy, and youth engagement. This topic also covers online safety and responsible digital citizenship.
4. Youth participation and active citizenship: Examining the role of young people in shaping European policies, promoting diversity, inclusion, and solidarity, and engaging in advocacy efforts for social and environmental change.
5. European values and democratic processes: Exploring fundamental European values, such as democracy, human rights, and solidarity, and understanding how these values are reflected in EU policies, youth initiatives, and decision-making processes.
These topics address key aspects of European governance, societal challenges, and youth empowerment, providing a comprehensive understanding of the issues facing Europe today and the role of young people in shaping its future. Find out more about the consortium below.
